Yee, a 22-year-old singer and actor, is one of China's most famous young celebrities. He closed his production and talent company to join an annual recruitment drive from the National Theatre of China, according to Tianyancha, an online database of companies. Yee still owns a personal studio and is represented by a talent agency.

By joining the theatre, a national institute affiliated with the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Yee and the others would receive a governmentThey are particularly valuable perks right now in China as the country experiences an economic downturn.
