Nottinghamshire company returns teddy bear to family after fee paid

A teddy bear comforter belonging to an autistic nine-year-old girl has been reunited with its owner. Donna Nevill, 34, from Norfolk, went away on a family holiday to Slough to take in the sights of nearby London, using Onpoint Apartments based in Main Street in Kimberley.

After her daughter Summer accidentally left the teddy in her room, the family were told that it could be returned if £20 was paid - something they were unhappy about. They claimed this was too much money. Onpoint Apartments got in touch with Nottinghamshire Live to give an update - saying that the teddy has been sent back and returned to Summer after the family paid the fee.

Donna and Summer had been on holiday with Summer's dad Richard Nevill, 35, along with her sister Lilly, aged six, and four-year-old brother Aarlo. Summer, aged nine, is autistic and heavily reliant on the comforter, which she struggles to sleep without. The family were set to go on a holiday abroad and said: "We need it back as my daughter needs it for the airplane.

"We should expect Teddy to be back with its rightful owner just in time for Teddy to sunbathe on the beach. Finally, we truly do wish the guest, her family and of course Teddy the absolute best."

Fancy making the family pay for its return, whoever you are should be ashamed of yourself, but glad it's been returned. I'd have sent it back at my own expense.

I’m so confused by this. Why is anyone going on holiday to Kimberley and who told them it was near London?
