Ahead of the global commemoration of the United Nations World Tourism Day, which holds every September 27, Epe Local Council in Lagos State has unveiled plans to revolutionise tourism in Epe.

It sought for relevant institutions, bodies and agencies’ support for investment opportunities to enable it rebuild the sector.

Animashaun, who pledged to develop the tourism assets of Epe and promote the area to attract local and foreign tourists, said that there was an ongoing development between the council, state government and private investors to explore and harness touristic attractions and increase local and international trade through cultural exchanges in Epe Division.

Also, the state’s Commissioner for Tourism, Art & Culture, Mrs. Uzamat Akinbile-Yusuf, said the ministry hopes to amplify the socio-economic benefits of exploring, developing and harnessing various untapped resources in the community. According to her, there are lots of festivals in Epe community, which bring about entertainment and tourism, hence, Lagos State government is partnering with the community to boost the tourism sector.
