An employee in Tennessee was asked to leave after someone complained the restroom he had been using reeked of weed. — via TheGrowthOp cannabisnews

After finishing up, the man was met by an officer outside the washroom and informed the business wanted him to leave.Telling the officer that he, in fact, sometimes worked for the business, confirmed by another employee, the man was still asked to leave. He was directed to return on the following Monday to discuss the matter with the manager, but until then, would need to get out.Article content

Claiming he hadn’t smoked cannabis in the washroom, the man told the officer that while he did partake, he never did so where he works. Regardless, the officer explained the business had asked that he vacate and he would need to comply, which he did without incident.first offence for possessing less than 14 grams

punishable by up to a year in jail and a mandatory fine of $342, according to the National Organization for the Reform of Marijuana Laws. A second offence on the same charge ups the fine to $685. As for growing cannabis, “cultivation of 10 plants or less is a felony, punishable by one to six years in prison, and the penalties increase significantly for each additional plant being grown,”
