Finding a place to rent in Toronto can feel like a near impossible task. Places can go for well over the asking rent, and in some cases get snapped up before they open for viewings.

Here are six tips to make the experience a little less stressful.

Realtors have access to MLS listings and can help answer your questions any time. Like a unit but not sure if utilities are included? Your realtor can likely find the answer for you. They can also arrange viewings and some will even offer to view units for you if you’re unable to make it. 3. Join a Facebook group. Listings are also constantly popping up on social media buy-and-sell groups or Facebook marketplace as well. It can be an intimidating task to find out what’s legitimate or if a listing may be too good to be true. Posts may not include useful information such as where a unit is located, if it’s an entire space or room for rent, and what’s all included in the price — if the price is even mentioned.
