It's the Super Bowl for mom-and-pop shops and last year, shoppers spent $23 billion on this shopping day.Online shopping took the reins over the last few years, putting a damper on the festivities of Small Business Saturday. "Small business is incredible. any neighborhood that you live in. If you own or even if you rent, it's the backbone of the community. We live in New York City. to walk up and down the street, to shop, to go to a coffee shop... to window shop. Without that, you might as well move to Montana," Something Else owner Doug Grater said.This year, people are feeling the pinch of 40-year high inflation rates.
