Pay gains don’t cause inflation. They are the consequence of inflation.

But the Universities are teaching 'modern economic theory' that says increasing pay does not cause inflation. Neither does borrowing nor printing money they say. So this article comes as quite the shock!

What? The population isn't quite poor enough? That's a shame. How are corporate profits again? 🤔

It's not pay gains pushing inflation. Pay has barely budged since the 1970s. Check with senior economists.
