The first images of banknotes featuring Britain’s King Charles III were unveiled by the Bank of England.

The first images of banknotes featuring Britain’s King Charles III were unveiled on Tuesday by the Bank of England. Charles’ portrait will appear on English notes of £5, £10, £20 and £50. Meanwhile, the rest of the design will remain the same as the current notes that feature the late Queen Elizabeth II on the front. The cameo in the transparent security window will also feature the current monarch, the United Kingdom’s central bank said in a press release.

“This is a significant moment, as The King is only the second monarch to feature on our banknotes,” Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey said ahead of the release. The reverse side of the notes will remain unchanged – the current designs feature portraits of Winston Churchill, Jane Austen, JMW Turner and Alan Turing on the reverse of the £5, £10, £20 and £50 notes, respectively.

😕🙁😬🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮

Living in one of the 15 commonwealth countries that had Queen Elizabeth II on our money it'll be the first time in my lifetime that our money will have a king on it... kind of cool.

Now being called 'Chuck Bucks'.

Stupid idea!..people who have not “earned” their position, should not appear on the national currency!

King Charles still hasn't made any statements re the horrific statements by Jeremy Clarkson in the Sun dehumanising Meghan Markle. Don't forget Camilla having lunch with him and Piers Morgan 2 days earlier - and the fact that he said that everyone his age thinks like he does.

Best friends with saville more than 20 years countless holidays together. Made him royal advisor and got mum to knight him. The king is a paedophile like his brother.

why does it say specimen on it?
