The former prime minister would like to work for a large company, and give speeches around the world, although he may struggle to overcome his political notoriety.

Former prime minister Scott Morrison does not intend to remain in parliament for the long term and is likely to start thinking about pursuing a business career in the new year, according to confidants.

With the Coalition out of office, Mr Morrison is unlikely to be appointed to a government position, unlike another former prime minister, Kevin Rudd, who will becomeFormer senior political leaders have had mixed success establishing or re-establishing business careers, in part because of limited experience before entering politics and the notoriety from being associated with political controversy.

Ex-NSW premiers Nick Greiner and Mike Baird held senior positions in the private sector. Mr Baird’s successor, Gladys Berejiklian, leads Singtel Optus’ corporate business. “One of course has to resist the temptation to wish him into a job where he may learn something about the inequalities his government and party have driven in Australian society – such as offsider to Tim Costello at Melbourne’s Collins Street Baptist Church running the program for the homeless, or working in aged care or with the Asylum Seekers Resources Centre,” she said in an email.

LyndaFrench19 What a load of garbage 'She suggested Mr Morrison become chief executive of the Cronulla-Sutherland Sharks rugby league team, which Mr Morrison supports.' He showed no interest in this team before he became PM... No one trust's him to give him a job! They have seen how he lies!

LyndaFrench19 He is not a potential candidate for any decent workplace. Oh, maybe dodgy scammers....he could work dodgy scams really well.

He does lie a lot so he would fit into marketing or being a salesman

What a joke

I still think his best bet is as a welder....

$217060? What about the pension at PM salary? For the rest of his life

🤣🤣🤣 funny. What’s he good at?! Every time he opens his mouth he sounds like he’s lecturing. Maybe model for Bunnings as daggy dad? Ask Jenny for advice!!! Oh the fall from Grace. I am a liberal voter btw.

Why just one job? A step backwards surely after performing 10 roles for previous employer.

It will be hard to do that from a jail cell.

i reckon his CV, experience and history should probably stop that happening.

Who can trust a word he says, a documented liar and grifter, unable to tell the truth. How would any employer trust he wouldn't stab someone in the back or blame someone for something he's done.

Any prospective employer should have a convo with Tourism NZ prior to any job offer.

Wot? You mean like Gillard?

Is there a job where you lie constantly, sing as a god botherer, and take everyone’s job? Oh also runs away during crises and refuses to take responsibility for anything He’s all yours

God has a plan for him, I reckon. A real good one.

This will be difficult from behind bars.

Church $’s supports church funders, Morrison will be ok they will rally behind him & provide further wealth

No business will touch him owing to leadership style ( bullying control freak) or failure to understand women. Woukd fear how such an appt received by own staff and public Woukd be a bull in a China store. Maybe Gina R who not concerned by external percep But that woukd be it

Name a retired senior politician that did not have a more lucrative career post politics Same goes for the so called (puke warning) 'Political Professionals' that first surfaced 25-30 years ago. Many would be unemployable elsewhere but shimmy up the progress pole skill free

😂 theres a rubber hose business in hawaii...

He can't leave parliament - who will pay his huge legal bills if he does? He's hoping to hide behind the cloak of parliamentary privilege to keep him safe. Imagine what his legal costs for robodebtRC will be and that's just for starters. A (US?)Pentecostal cult maybe?

theres a huge condom company . snotty will get a job there no worries . they make products to cover things up . hes good at that . he can even get them to make a size for him , called the micro frangar .

Let's put that ambition on hold Corrupt Costellos FIN. Scammo hasa debt to pay the community starting with a considerable Gaol sentence. Maybe with good behaviour after a year he might be granted a zoom meeting. But we would need to see great improvement first.

Nobody voted for him last election? No corporate donors? Remarkable.

He is Australia's best Politician ever ,our greatest PM ever. Now we have a two faced shonk. Cheers

The only thing Scott can do is become a Pastor of an evangelical scam Church. What business would want him? He is totally inept and a proven liar and fantasist.

Hah, speeches on how to be a slimy rat to line your own pockets' Or... How to Disappear when things get tough, then show your head to take the cred when others have done your job? Blokes a national embarrassment

My Local Coles are looking for staff
