Right now, lack of transmission capacity is hindering wind and solar additions. The government should also further liberalize generation, opening the way for more private sector self-production.
_Business Why appoint a CEO? The Eskom CEO can't: Determine the best mix of solar/wind/nuclear or coal power. Overturn dodgy contracts to cadres. Reduce staff to the correct level. Appoint the best people to positions, irrespective of race. Those all remain the prerogative of politicians.
