Sand is everywhere in cities: it’s in the pillars of skyscrapers, the surfaces of roads and the walls of our homes. But sand—specifically river and beach sand needed for building—is running out, and without it the construction industry faces a crisis.

In this video we explore how a fresh framework for thinking about construction and the economy could help to combat the sand crisis and preserve the value of materials for decades to come. A circular model would mean less sand ending up in landfill, less energy wasted during construction and a more sustainable industry that benefits businesses and the planet.

This economic transformation will require collaboration between industry, government and academia—if we are to sustain our sandcastle cities into the future. Shouldn't the questions be, any industry why still narrow linear extracted feedstocks, causing ur crisis when theres an abundance of thinking & regenerative feedstocks, where's the quick efficient lightweight super structures especially when world needs to be much more adaptable

It's alarming to think about the future of construction without access to sand. We need to find sustainable solutions to this issue before it's too late.

Just make more sand its all science, the woke people think they can make anything.

We are not running out of sand . It might not be close to where we need it but we will never run out. True science and Woke cannot exist in the same space so pick a side.

I was just at the beach the other day, there was what appeared to be a lot of sand left.

ROTFLMAO…Good one.

Hempcrete seems to work pretty well.

What do you saying is a lie, a huge lie!
