Business Owner Russell Cooke says people in the Kimberley region are not sure how they will “continue doing business” after soaring freight costs caused by the floods.

“The additional cost is unsustainable for everybody up here,” Mr Cooke told Sky News host Chris Kenny.

“We just need our freights basically brought back to what it was prior to the flood for us to continue business as we know it.”

This should be a priority for the federal and state government. The army could sort this crossing in a matter of a week if given the order. Unacceptable responses from politicians.
