A trader at the Nottingham's Victoria Centre Market has announced they will shut for good. The Madhouse Nut Centre, which operated in the market, informed customers of the permanent closure through a poster displayed at the market.

The announcement, which was spotted by an eyewitness in the shopping centre, said the stall will close permanently on March 10. It reads: "Will and Sandra are very sad to announce that we will be closing permanently on the 10th of March 2023. A delivery service only will be operating after this date.

"Further details to follow. Thank you for supporting us over the past 15 years. We hope this can continue in the future."It is the second trader that announced their closure from the market in the last month. In a post on Facebook, the Lizian Crystal and Incense Shop said they shut for good on February 7.

They added: "Thank you to our customers over the years. It has been an amazing time and we consider so many of you as dear friends. "We have nejoyed our time at the market - now it is time to move on." They continued: "I know many of you have asked, here [sic] is the answers: no we're not moving to a new shop, and we're not selling online - it's time to say 'Thank You' - it's been a really great exeprience - and now we'll move on.
