The musicians deserving our mention are award winning Timaya and Patoranking who have made musical statements via the dance hall, ragga and Afro hip hop genres.

Timaya whose real name is Inetimi Timaya Odon, has been active since 2005 and has gotten the respect of his colleagues in the Nigerian music industry. From the hit tune, ‘Sweet Us’ released in 2022 and gained more prominence with the Rivers State outgoing governor, Nyeson Wike used it to diss his political goes.
