July's wet weather has pushed back the opening of the refurbished Cornhill Market, it has been confirmed.
Kate Ellis, Director of Major Developments, confirmed the delay during the meeting, stating:"We don't want to open the indoor market without City Square being completed but unusually for July, we've got this wet weather and we can't lay the paving that we've got for the area. "This is highly significant in Lincoln terms and it's going to complement all the fantastic things that we've done in the area," Councillor Metcalfe said. The market has already attracted a substantial amount of interest, with 60 expressions of interest and 14 full applications received so far.
