Tom Brady watched Birmingham City for the first time after becoming a minority owner of the English football club. Birmingham beat Leeds United 1-0 thanks to a 91st-minute Lukas Jutkiewicz penalty on Saturday.

Birmingham announced the seven-time Super Bowl champion as chair of the advisory board, a role which will see Brady “working directly with the club’s board and members of Birmingham City Football Club’s leadership team”.

Upon the announcement, Brady said: “Birmingham City is an iconic club with so much history and passion and to be part of the Blues is a real honour for me. “Birmingham City Football Club is built on teamwork and determination and I’m excited to work alongside the board, management and players to make our second city club second to none.
