Petrol and diesel prices have seen a sharp increase in recent weeks as a result of global market factors.
This is a result of a number of factors connected to the global oil market which can causes prices to fuluctuate frequently.Coleraine in Co Derry is the cheapest place in Northern Ireland to purchase petrol, with it going at 146.8p per litre on average. Coleraine is also the cheapest place in Northern Ireland to purchase diesel at 149.5p per litre on average.Speaking to Belfast Live, Peter McClenaghan, Director of Infrastructure and Sustainability said that shopping around is key for customers who are looking to get the best prices for their fuel.
"You may find that shopping around and looking at a number of different places to buy petrol or diesel will find you the best price.
