Rythm aims to be the first platform promoting intimacy products that are sustainable, toxin-free, and approved by specialists. Founder Alysha Malik shares her journey.

Alysha Malik is the founder and CEO of Rythm. “As a South Asian child of divorced parents, I have always been enamored with the role sexuality plays in intimate relationships and human connection,” she said in an exclusive interview with me. “I grew up in Pakistan, where women are expected to go from being virgins on the streets to performers in the sheets – all without any real conversation, education or tools around this transition.

These negative experiences led Malik to dig into research. She discovered that the average Ob-gyn has less than 10 hours of sexual health education, yet they tend to be the first call for most women. She also learned that Malik decided to build the solution herself. “Intimacy touches every single aspect of our health from vitality, longevity, hormones, and emotional wellbeing, to creativity and connection. Rythm is the first platform to bring everything together holistically under one roof for the modern woman,” she says.themselves.The greatest challenge Malik has faced in starting Rythm is an inherent gender bias in advertising in the intimacy category.
