The commitment of disciplined police officers to ensure the safety of community members resulted in them foiling a planned business robbery and ultimately confiscating a 9 mm pistol with ammunition.
Kleinvlei police members were static at a scene in Beverley Park, Eersterivier on Thursday 28 September 2023 when they were alerted by the community members of a business robbery in progress. The members made their way towards the direction as indicated when they saw unknown males who fled the scene on foot. During the chase, one of the suspects pointed his firearm at the officers. One of the members drew his firearm and fatally wounding the suspect.
The suspects are expected to make their court appearance in the Blue Downs Magistrates’ court on charges of possession of an unlicensed firearms and ammunition, pointing of a firearms, business robbery and attempted murder.
