More than 90 per cent of companies who trialled the 32-hour work week have implemented it permanently.

Companies around the world have started trialing a four-day work week in a global movement to reduce office hours.

More than 90 per cent of companies who trialled the 32-hour work week as part of the Four Day Week Global movement, which was started by a New Zealand company in 2018, have implemented it permanently. Scottish government workers have undertaken the four-day week, as well as 350 companies around the world, including Sydney marketing company House of Brands.CEO of House of Brands Nick Palmer said the move to a shorter work week has helped provide a work-life balance to his employees "For us it's really about getting more balance in our lives work-life balance," House of Brands chief executive Nick Palmer said.

The work-life balance of the four-day workweek has grabbed the attention of some huge companies, including independent charity Oxfam and multi-brand owner Unilever.
