The Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service said one life was lost in the inferno that occurred at the Dosunmu Market on the Island on Tuesday

. LSFRS Director, Margaret Adeseye, confirmed this on Wednesday in a statement while giving an update on the fire incident which affected a total of 14 buildings. READ ALSO: Dosunmu….

“All affected individuals were promptly treated and discharged on-site by the Emergency Management Service. Thanks to the swift response of the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service, the blaze has been contained.” Adeseye added that the enumeration of shops and goods lost are ongoing, and preventive measures will be enforced.

In a related development, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service announced that a fire incident occurred at 48 Breadfruit Street, Apongbon, Lagos Island on Monday. The perennial lack of legislation and a national action plan on efficient water resources has deprived more Nigerians of access to potable water, and by extension, access to quality life and economic well-being.

Operatives of the anti-kidnapping unit of the Imo State Police Command have arrested a suspected terrorist, Chidebere Nwuzor, 38, of Amauzu, Aboh Mbaise Local Council of the state.
