Civic movement urges MEC to consider racism allegations against Pretoria Girls High School staff.

The Save South Africa Civic Movement has called on the Gauteng Education MEC Matome Chiloane to consider racism allegations against the Pretoria High School for Girls staff, including the principal.“While Save South Africa Civic Movement is condemning the behaviour, the movement is calling for a three-pot leg approach that will first concentrate on the background of the children fingered in this issue.

“We might be furious at the learners, only to realise that this is a learnt or taught behaviour. This is not to say the 12 are not guilty in their personal capacity as high school learners; they are guilty and must be disciplined, according to the code of conduct and there must be lessons learnt from the exercise.” – Reporting by Simphiwe Mabhena.
