Experts have challenged the government to explore the tourism industry as part of ongoing efforts to create more jobs and increase revenue to boost the economy.

This call was made at an event to mark the 60th anniversary of SKAL International, Lagos, held recently in Lagos.

A statement by the association quoted the professor of Strategy and Development as saying, “What defines tourists is the fact that they take a path that has been prepared and programmed for them. That keeps them from the four negative ‘Ds’ which are: distress, difficulty, disorientation and any form of disturbances.

The President of SKAL International Lagos, Mrs Rita Obidike, urged stakeholders in the industry to support all tourism and aviation institutions.
