Political analyst Levy Ndou says some voters may think twice over decisions taken by the leadership

In the latest round of by-elections held in June, the party was only able to secure one ward in KwaZulu-Natal.

The party also failed to form a coalition government in KZN despite garnering over 45% of the vote in the province.“An ordinary voter might start to think twice about voting for this party because the actions that are being taken by the leadership of the MK Party have the potential to discourage the voter from voting for this party. It also has the potential to discourage ordinary citizens to join the party because of what we see now,” he said.

“Its instability, its ill-treatment of individuals and these people are being replaced by those who did not play any role in the election period. It creates a situation where an ordinary voter would end up being confused this exercise and take his or her vote somewhere.” Any cookies that may not be particularly necessary for the website to function and is used specifically to collect user personal data via analytics, ads, other embedded contents are termed as non-necessary cookies.
