Knowledge Musona will remain in the Saudi Pro League for yet another season after agreeing to join his new employers, Al Akhdoud.
Musona makes the switch after spending a season with Al Riyadh, whom he joined after two years at Al Tai.The decision to stay in the Gulf Region means he will continue in the same league as global superstar Cristiano Ronaldo, who plays for Al Nassr. There will also be the benefit of continuing to earn the Saudi Riyal with his earning pricing him out of a possible return to South Africa a decade since his last stint with Kaizer Chiefs. The Saudi currency is almost five times stronger than the South African Rand. With his new club, it is expected that he will widen the attacking options due to his ability to play across the forward line and as an attacking midfielder.
Al Akhdoud were one of the clubs in a bitter battle to escape relegation together with Pitso Mosimane's former club Abha Club and eventually finished in 15th place, one point more than the Abha. The Saudi Pro League is due to start on August 22 with Musona’s team hosting league champions Al Hilal two days later.
