Crypto is beginning to appear front and center in the 2024 US presidential election as Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump appear more open to the industry as a whole. Top crypto executives met with White House officials last week

I would start with the presidential election and get your take on both cryptos courting the candidates and the candidates seemingly courting the crypto community.The Securities and Exchange Commission, the SEC, has approved a whole range of crypto related derivative products like exchange traded funds, so that's the context in which politicians are beginning to play an important role.

What is equally interesting, though, is that the high risk campaign does seem to be somewhat more open to crypto. But I worry a great deal about Bitcoin and other decentralised cryptocurrencies as financial assets, but certainly the fact they are easily accessible through these exchange traded funds, even to retail investors.

So I'm not sure that the originator of Bitcoin whoever that is, we still don't know would really like it.But if you own Bitcoin and view it as a speculative financial asset one that is part of your portfolio, you're certainly probably happy now.What about sort of real world issues with this?So here again, there are some potential risks to retail investors who may not fully understand the risks that they're taking on because they say, Well, the SCC.

Bitcoin's value essentially seems to come only from its scarcity because it's not being used that much as a um as a payment mechanism, which was its original objective. And the other way around there was a very large stablecoin issuer that had significant deposits with the failed Silicon Valley Bank. That, I think, is where much of the regulatory effort needs to be focused right now, a trend we will certainly continue to follow.Engineers from Britain and the United States have struck a mutual recognition agreement of industry qualifications and licences which is set to make it easier for professionals to work on either side of the Atlantic. Britain is seeking to build stronger economic ties with the United States after it left the European Union, though U.S.
