KUALA LUMPUR: Bursa Malaysia closed higher today as bargain hunting picked up, though caution prevailed in line with regional market trends.

Market breadth was negative with losers thumping gainers 616 to 446, while 497 counters were unchanged. Turnover stood at 3.7 billion shares valued at RM3.08bil.
