Manchester City could be left with a hefty fine but their place in the Premier League secure at the end of their hearing into their charges, according to a sport finance expert.
City's hearing in front of an independent panel is finally expected to get underway in September 2024, although Premier League chief executive Richard Masters could not confirm that a decision will be announced this season when recently asked. As the footballing world waits to see what consequences City will face, professor of applied sport finance at University Campus of Football Business Rob Wilson has shared his expectation of what will happen.
