Dane Kenyon was left shocked after his Wigan business was burgled and 'over £100k' worth of stock taken

A young entrepreneur has been left "shocked" after his business, Drip Supply UK, was burgled and "over £100k" worth of stock taken. Dane Kenyon, who co-owns the sportswear retailer with childhood friend Paddy Hewitt, started the venture when he was just 18, initially running it as a side job.

Speaking to the Liverpool Echo, 22 year old Dane revealed he took the business full-time after a positive start: "I eventually decided to do it full-time. I ran it from my mum's spare bedroom at first and we grew from there." Drip Supply UK, which distributes active wear exclusively online, suffered a significant setback when its Wigan-based warehouse was raided last Thursday evening, September 5.Reliving the moment he discovered the break-in, Dane said: "We were working late on Thursday night and when we got back at 10am the following morning, everything had gone. I was shocked and couldn't believe it. This is several people's livelihoods and no-one is working now.

Unsure of what now lies ahead, he added: "We don't know what to do now, everything is uncertain. We lost over £100k worth of stock. We've dedicated so much time to the business, worked hard, missed out on life and relationships and it feels like it's all for nothing. It's two hours but it's four or five years for us."

In response to the incident, a spokesperson for Greater Manchester Police confirmed: "Officers are investigating following reports of a commercial burglary at a premises on Bradley Lane, Wigan. It is believed the burglary took place over the night of September 5 into September 6. Anyone with any information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting log 1034 of 6/9/24."
