Australian Prime Minister Anthony Albanese greets Minerals Council of Australia CEO Tania Constable and Glencore head of coal Earl Melamed at a parliamentary dinner on Monday night.Less than an hour earlier, Constable had launched a broadside on the Albanese government, accusing it of inciting conflict with its policy agenda.

In a room scattered with Labor frontbenchers including Anthony Albanese, Richard Marles, Don Farrell, Jim Chalmers and West Australians Madeleine King, Matt Keogh and Patrick Gorman, Constable was speaking as the voice of the mining sector and the message was clear.
