Montgomery, Alabama

The Junior League of Montgomery has opened its Holiday Market, which is the kickoff event of the Christmas shopping season in our area.

The 36th annual Holiday Market runs through Saturday at the Multiplex at Cramton Bowl. More than 60 vendors are offering clothes, gifts, arts, crafts, specialty foods and decorations. On Friday from 6-8PM will be the Girls’ Night Out event. There will be live music, a silent auction, a wine pull, a cash bar and a photo booth. Every attendee will be entered into a drawing to win a vacation getaway.

“What happens is the funds raised by these events, they go directly back into the River Region community,” Junior League President Courtney Baker told Action 8 News. “So we actually give out grants to nonprofit organizations and then we have community service hours provided by our volunteers, so organizations benefiting receive money and volunteer hours to implement their projects that improve the lives of those in the River Region.

General admission tickets are $10 at the door, with special $5 pricing for seniors and military. Children 10 and under are free.
