George and Michael Heaton set up their business 13 years ago, printing t-shirts from their dad's shed

Rolling up to their new shop on New Cathedral Street in a brand new Rolls Royce Spectre, the brothers had a 'pinch me' moment.

“Growing up, we were always huge fans of the likes of Oasis and bands who were putting Manchester on a global platform,” George explains, “so to now be able to represent our hometown around the world is massive for us.” “Our community is incredible. We’ve done 247 runs in the pouring rain and had 700 people turn out. We’re always looking to find new ways to give back to our community through events and experiences that strengthen these relationships, and that’s something that’s incredibly important to us as a brand. Manchester has always been at the heart of our community.”

“Liam is not only a Manchester legend, but a rock and roll one,” George explains. “Rock has always been a key part of our identity, and that was definitely influenced by the Manchester music scene and the streetwear worn by the likes of him and Oasis, so it’s incredible that he’s now wearing clothes we’ve created.”

Whilst many fashion brands in today’s climate are tending to shift away from physical stores, instead opting for online fronts or bases within other outlets, the Represent brothers are insistent that it’s the way forward for them. With that in mind, exclusive items that can only be found in the Manchester store include new t-shirts and hoodies, available in black and Flat White, bearing a Represent of Manchester, New Cathedral St screen printed on the front and the back. There will also be an exclusive Represent of Manchester - Cathedral candle and eau de parfum fragrance.
