The man has been charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder after the incident at East Street Market in Walworth

Forensic officers at the scene in East Street, Walworth, south London, following a fatal stabbing at a market in south London on Sunday morning.

The Metropolitan Police confirmed his identity on Monday and said his family are aware and receiving support from specialist officers. Chief Superintendent Seb Adjei-Addoh, lead for policing in Southwark, warned social media posts are circulating that incorrectly suggest it was a terrorist incident.
