Hedge fund owner Edward Lampert has reached a deal that would bring Sears Hometown stores under the same corporate umbrella as Sears and Kmart

Mr. Lampert, the former Sears Holdings Corp. chief executive whose Transform Holdco LLC controls Sears and Kmart, is buying the 42% of Sears Hometown shares he and his hedge fund don’t currently own for $2.25 a share in cash, the companies said Monday. Sears Hometown stores were spun off from Sears Holdings Corp. seven years ago.

Sears won't last as a stand lone store the will have to combine with K mart and hope they make it

Good move. First order of business: get those craftsman tool manufacturers out of China and back in the U. S. Where they belong?. Just asking

If there was any justice in America Lampert would be in prison by now. Devaluing and running sears into the ground and putting thousands out of work all so he can funnel cash to himself via his role as landlord and suck up the assets as a major creditor during bankruptcy
