A total of RM12.8 billion has been recorded as Unclaimed Money (WTD - Wang Tidak Dituntut) belonging to the public as of last October.

A total of RM12.8 billion has been recorded as Unclaimed Money belonging to the public as of last October.

“As of last October 31 , the total amount of WTD submitted by companies and firms amounted to RM17 billion. The total amount of WTD refunds to the rightful owners was RM4.2 billion, making the balance WTD as of last October to be RM12.8 billion,” he said.Additionally, he said that the Accountant General of Malaysia Department has implemented 184 booths nationwide since 2022 to raise awareness and encourage the general public to make claims.
