House committee on industry commends Origin Tech Group as Nigeria’s leading indigenous tractor manufacturerThe federal house of representatives committee on industry, led by Honourable Enitan Dolapo-Badru, visited Origin Tech Group and its subsidiary, Origin Automobile Works , as part of its oversight activities. The visit aimed to assess challenges in Nigeria’s automotive and agricultural mechanisation sectors and explore solutions to boost indigenous manufacturing.
Honourable Dolapo-Badru eulogised Origin Tech Group as the only fully indigenous company with a tractor and harvester assembly plant, calling it a significant stride for Nigeria’s agricultural and industrial future. He reiterated agriculture’s vital role in national development and commended the company’s efforts to empower farmers.
The delegation, including members of the National Automotive Design and Development Council , also toured the Origin Automobile Works assembly plant, witnessing firsthand the company’s capabilities in automotive innovation.
