The Austin Police Department Robbery Unit is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an aggravated robbery last month in north A

ustin.

It happened on Tuesday, October 29, at around 10:20 p.m. at the Rutland Market located at 900 Rutland Drive.According to APD, the suspect entered the store and initially asked to purchase cigarettes. He then pulled out a black handgun and demanded cash from the register. The suspect is described as a White male, between 45-50 years old, about 5’8” to 5’10” tall, and of thin build. He is believed to be a possible transient.

The suspect was last seen wearing a black balaclava mask. a black hoodie, black gloves, and black pants. Anyone with information about the robbery or the suspect is urged to contact the APD Robbery Unit at 512-974-5092.
