A Cargill spokesperson declined to comment on how many layoffs might impact the company’s operations in Alabama, but said that the impacts will be minimal. “To strengthen Cargill’s impact, we must realign our talent and resources to align with our strategy,” the company said in a statement to AL.com. “This difficult decision was not made lightly.
