Shropshire Chamber of Commerce's networking group for young business people, Our Future In Focus, will be visiting Telford's newly refurbished fire station for its first meeting of 2025. The £10 million project, on Stafford Park industrial estate, features green technology and has been called 'a flagship construction'. On February 6th, members will tour the building, meet key personnel, and enjoy networking opportunities.
They'll also hear a presentation on fire protection from safety inspection officer Matt Angell. The event runs from 5pm to 6:30pm. Nearly 2,100 square meters of internal space have been reorganized, including single and two-storey extensions carried out by McPhillips, a local award-winning contractor. Ella Preece, Shropshire Chamber's marketing co-ordinator, says the group aims to connect young professionals and provide networking and knowledge-sharing opportunities. At least four events are planned for the coming year
