Kwara Assembly probes illegal acquisition of government assets

The setting up of the special committee was sequel to Matter of General Public Importance on the sudden change in the name of the state government owned Tourist Kitchen to ‘Bubble 007’, raised by the House Leader, and member representing Ojomu/Balogun Constituency, Prince Saeed Popoola, and member representing Ilorin Central constituency, Hon Abubakar Olawoyin Magaji at the floor of the House.

Others were members representing Ilorin South, Ilorin North West, and Isin constituencies, Hons. Hassan Abdulazeez Elewu, Barrister Abdulgafar Olayemi Ayinla and Olamide Ayokunle Awolola, respectively. Engr Salihu equally assured the people of the state that the outcome of the investigation would be implemented to the letter by the executive arm of the government, just as he referred the investigation to the House Committee on Youth, Sports, Information, Culture and Tourism with reports of its findings expected next Thursday.
