MANILA -- A new law guarantees funding for national performing arts companies to promote the dramatic arts in the Philippines. Under Republic Act No.

11392 or the National Performing Arts Companies Act, the following are entitled to a P10 million annual budget for 5 years:- 1 National Orchestra

Signed by President Rodrigo Duterte on August 22, the new measure requires the national performing arts companies to fulfill the following:- Conduct research relative to particular performing arts and undertake documentation of its activities and programs; - Maintain and promote a standard of artistic excellence in its field that will help elevate performing arts in the country;
