The world’s largest oil-and-gas producers are split over whether to commit to reducing greenhouse-gas emissions from the oil byproducts they sell

As global leaders prepare to debate action on climate change at the United Nations on Monday, big oil companies are aiming to show investors and government officials that they are part of the solution to a problem they helped cause.

Companies such as Exxon Mobil Corp., Royal Dutch Shell PLC,BP PLC and Chevron Corp. disagree on how to do so, but they have to try: Their shareholders are demanding it.

This does cost money however; this issue needs to be addressed and honored by all nations and the people unfortunately; many don't care and wouldn't lift a finger to do any thing to create change except run their mouth and are full of hot air. ♀️

The oil industry has done more too promote prosperity and human flourishing. Best recyclers in the free market with byproducts we use, wear and enjoy every day. They really should promote their positives rather than bowing to anti human flourishing green people

You all know well the meaning of Nazi flag. But do you know about Japanese flag which used World War II. We all Asians hate this flag. However it will be allowed bring to stadiums during Tokyo Olympics by the Jap. government. Asians think Nazi flag = Old Jap. flag.

Would it inspire commitment to reduction of greenhouse gas emissions if ClimateStrike crowds would gather outside corporate headquarters & executive mansions?

From what I have seen we have some time so let’s improve our batteries and find a viable alternative not requiring billions of subsidies for viability...to our fossil fuels that still pay billions into our gov’t process!

Then lock them in a garage with a few running vehicles and as much cash as they’d like. Let them breathe money.

Meanwhile Shell introduces another energy offering to its products with solar farms. They see the writing on the wall and make a move to adjust their business model ahead of the wave.

There’s only one way: stop selling carbon based energy. Period. End of story. But carbon based energy is their market. So I guess, they should just apologize, give back the money and declare bankruptcy.

It doesn't matter because the problem is fictional in nature.
