Four drugs companies accused of fueling the opioid crisis reached a last-minute tentative settlement Monday morning to avoid what would have been theFive opioid companies had been in talks last week to settle the more than 2,000 lawsuits against them by cities, states, tribes and counties, as the trial was set to start in Cleveland Monday morning.
McKesson Corp, Cardinal Health, AmerisourceBergen, drug distributors, and Teva Pharmaceutical, the maker of generic opioids, announced a settlement had been reached, while Walgreens Boots Alliance, the fifth plaintiff, has not yet announced an agreement, Paul Hanly, a lead lawyer for the local governments suing the drug industry, told the AP.
And now reparations has too brought to the judicial tables
Billions and billions dollar scam and shit for a fine. Pharmaceutical owns the country.
So no one is held accountable. Another victory for the top 1% MAGA
“The settlement is believed to include both cash and money for drugs and distribution who those addicted.” Who the hell wrote this?
If you don't try, you will never know. 'It's better to live with failure after trying than with the regret of not trying when you should have!'
Crazy world where the tool makers are attacked instead of the mis-users. This usually doesn't end well.
Shut them down and imprison them anyway.
And how much is it worth to hook people on opioids?
Settlements are what ruined America, corrupts big companies, fosters more bad behaviors..what they payout as part of settlement is just part of doing business for them! There should be NO settlement, all cases goto trial..even if the case is lost in the end..
