Jhye Richardson may be the next in line if one of Australia's fast bowlers falters in the men's Ashes, after his eight-wicket haul helps propel Western Australia to a comfortable win over Queensland.

Western Australia has cruised to victory over Queensland in their Sheffield Shield match at the Gabba on the back of an eight-wicket match haul from fringe Test quick Jhye Richardson.Western Australia won by seven wicketsThe 25-year-old picked up the Bulls' final scalp early on Saturday to finish with 5-23 from 22.2 overs in the home side's second innings before Western Australia ran down the 95-run target with seven wickets to spare.

Richardson also chipped in with a handy 38 in Western Australia's first innings and recently posted a Sheffield Shield half-century. The Bulls added just two runs to their overnight score of 9-244, with Richardson removing Neser , who was caught behind.Former Test opener Cameron Bancroft guided Western Australia home with an unbeaten 47 alongside Josh Philippe , who had hit a first-innings century.
