In July of 2021, I officially launched my company.First, I would advise aspiring creators to start a website with their own email account. That's when brands will know you're professional.
You would be shocked at how many emails brands get each day. It's important to make your outreach to brands as personal and high quality as possible. I differentiate myself by showcasing my best work. But the most important part of outreach is sending a really good media kit. Throughout my life, I've constantly struggled with needing to take better care of myself, whether that's getting more sleep or saying"no" to tasks I can't handle. So I started implementing a trick that I saw on social media, where every Friday is my reset day. I get off work, grab a nice meal, take a long shower, and get ready for the weekend.
Then I designate a few hours each weekend to crank everything out. I shoot and edit photos, prepare social-media posts, and send out all emails. Along the way, I've made sure the people I surrounded myself with were supportive of my side career. Subscribe to push notifications
