Police and protesters pictured facing off on Feb. 18 at Colonel By Drive and Rideau Street, amid a massive effort to clear the downtown Ottawa blockade, which took three days for police to do. The protesters had occupied Ottawa's downtown core and the Parliamentary Precinct area for more than three weeks.

Banks have started unfreezing the accounts marked for their suspected support of the so-called Freedom Convoy, a Finance official told MPs, who sought assurances that “terrified” convoy donors would not be targeted for their small donations before the Emergencies Act was brought into effect.Enjoy unlimited website access and the digital newspaper.
