The oil companies also know if they spike the price of oil they can get their Republican allies into office who will shower them with corporate welfare: subsidies, obscene tax breaks, cheap permits, and a free pass to pollute your air and water. All while gauging you at the pump
Oh, it's not just Biden to blame, it's the entire Biden admin along with the support of corrupt media like CNN that got him installed.
This is why we need to regulate a MINIMUM price for oil. The most palatable time to do it is when oil is high, and the minimum is well below current market value.
