Dating back to 1995, the most valuable year for vintage, the archive style singles out the Princess as someone with a keen eye for fashion that will stand the test of time and is built to last. It’s perhaps corny to reference Mademoiselle Chanel’s famous line, “fashion passes, style remains”, but that’s what Kate and her team of advisors will be working towards as she carves out the uniform of her new era and, ultimately, her path to becoming Queen.
The Princess is a long-standing vintage fan. As well as her Chanel outerwear acquisition, she also wore a red YSL jacket that she has had since her St Andrews days earlier this year.
