The new candidates for Emoji 15.1, which could be approved later this year, include a fiery phoenix, a broken chain, and more.There are more than 500 characters up for consideration to join the newest slate of emoji.

In Emoji 15.1, the newest slate of upcoming emoji, Unicode wants to provide alternatives to existing emoji that only face one direction, so users can show, say, a person running to the right instead of the left.
