The body previously rejected the ANC’s move to include the Democratic Alliance in the GNU.Sanco addressed the media on the outcomes of its National Executive Committee meeting in Boksburg, in Gauteng’s East Rand.
The organisation’s Secretary-General Mike Soko indicated that their change of heart around the GNU stems from how other parties had approached negotiations with the ANC. He said this included the “arrogance” displayed by the Economic Freedom Fighters as well as the uMkhonto weSizwe’s legal squabbles with the ANC.
“There’s peace. We seek peace as Sanco,” said, adding the organisation welcomes the agreement by other political parties to work alongside the liberation movement.
